Why should the shaft be quenched?

Why should the shaft be quenched? The surface of the shaft workpiece is quenched by the IGBT induction heating power supply. After quenching, the structure of the workpiece can be changed, and then tempered at different temperatures to greatly improve the strength, hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength and toughness of the shaft. The service life of the shaft can be increased, and the following unnecessary failures during the use of the shaft can be reduced.
