What is the function of the capacitor in the induction melting furnace?
Due to the large distance between the induction coil and the metal charge of the induction melting furnace, the magnetic leakage is very serious, the useful magnetic flux is very small, and the reactive power is large. Therefore, in the capacitive circuit, the current leads the voltage to offset the influence of inductance. To improve the power factor, an appropriate number of capacitors must be incorporated in the loop to make the capacitor and the inductance resonate in parallel, thereby improving the power factor of the induction coil.
