What is the difference between forging and continuous casting ?
What is the difference between forging and continuous casting ?
Continuous casting: The steel ingot is melted into molten steel and directly cast into round steel. Because it is directly cast into round steel, there are bubbles inside, the organization is not tight enough, and the price is cheap.
The forging material is re-heated by continuous casting of round steel, and then forged by a forging press. (It seems to use iron hammer to remove iron.) The bubbles and impurities in the continuous casting round steel are removed, and the metallographic phase is changed to improve the performance.
