How to check whether the water-cooled chiller has scale formation?

Many production companies need to use chillers to change the temperature of the production workshop during the manufacturing process. There are two types of chillers: water-cooled chillers and air-cooled chillers. Next, I will share with you how to check water-cooled chillers. Whether the chiller has scale formation.

1. The inner tube wall of the condenser of the water-cooled chiller is very easy to be scaled, which will affect the heat exchange effect and cause the condensing temperature of the unit to increase, which in turn leads to a reduction in cooling capacity and power consumption of the unit

Increase. Causes of scale formation: calcium and magnesium ions in the cooling water become crystals, metal oxides, bacteria and algae when heated;

2. View. To check whether the water-cooled chiller has scale formation, we can open the cover at one end of the condenser of the chiller and check the color of the copper tube. If the copper tube is no longer visible

If the color is changed, it means that the fouling is serious and needs to be cleaned;

3. Cleaning. You can use a high-pressure water gun for spray cleaning; you can also use special chemicals to clean the dirt in the condenser that cannot be physically cleaned.
