Melting process of aluminum-manganese master alloy induction melting furnace

Melting process of aluminum-manganese master alloy induction melting furnace

1. Fully preheat the prepared charge;

2. Melt about 75% of the aluminum ingot in a graphite crucible and overheat it to 900-1000℃;

3. Add manganese in batches. After each batch is added, stir thoroughly with a graphite rod. After melting, add the next batch, and finally add the remaining aluminum;

4. After melting, add the refining agent at about 850℃ (the dosage should be added according to the requirements, such as 0.5-0.8% of AWJ-3 refining agent) after degassing refining treatment, let it stand for 5-10 minutes and cast the ingot. In order to prevent the segregation of manganese, the ingot should be fully stirred before pouring, and the pouring should be completed as soon as possible (ingot thickness ≤ 25mm).
