Method of Judging the Life of Induction Melting Furnace Lining
Method of Judging the Life of Induction Melting Furnace Lining
1. Pay attention to the electric furnace frequency meter, voltmeter, ammeter, etc. when the lining life is approaching. If the needles of these meters keep swinging under normal working conditions, the lining life will not be used again after the end of this work.
2. The working sound of the circuit becomes “stuffy” obviously. When the circuit shell and other grounding bodies contact the power supply and stop working, it means that the molten iron has penetrated the furnace lining. The power supply should be cut off immediately and the molten iron in the furnace should be poured out and stop using it.
3. When the operator uses an iron rod to pick up the slag and contact the molten iron, pay attention to the working sound of the electric furnace. If the sound is “muffled” or the sound changes obviously when the molten iron is tapped, it means that the molten iron has penetrated into the furnace lining or even penetrated the furnace lining. The molten iron in the furnace should be treated according to the situation and no longer used.
