Composition of high alumina brick
Têkela ji kerpîçê alumîna bilind
The mineral composition of high alumina brick is corundum, mullite and glass phase. Its content depends on the Al2O3/SiO2 ratio and the type and quantity of impurities. The grade of refractory bricks can be classified according to the content of Al2O3. The raw materials are natural ore of high bauxite and sillimanite, as well as clinker calcined with alumina, sintered alumina and synthetic mullite in different proportions. It is usually produced by a sintering process. But the main products are fused cast bricks, granular bricks, unfired bricks, and non-fixed refractory bricks. High-alumina refractory bricks are widely used in steel, non-ferrous metals and other industries.
