Can the used refractory bricks be rebuilt for the furnace? Many people have different opinions, and reuse the used refractory bricks. If the technology is mature, the cost can be reduced, and it can be regarded as a contribution to the country, and the waste is reused! Generally, waste bricks are used in unshaped refractories. Unshaped refractories are low in cost, but the profit is quite high.

Kewei Refractories believes that it is inappropriate. The main reasons are as follows:

1 The kiln must be carefully built. The quality of the masonry has a great impact on the life of the kiln, fuel consumption, glass melting and wire drawing. Basic requirements such as thermal expansion of the body;

2 Since the waste refractory bricks have been burned at high temperature, they will expand more or less, so it is difficult to control the expansion joints between the refractory bricks during masonry;

3 Since waste refractory bricks are subjected to high pressure during the original masonry, their strength is reduced a lot. If they are used again, the overall performance of the kiln will be affected.
