Introduce two common types of mica tubes
Mica tube is widely used for motor insulation and heat insulation, and is suitable for the insulation of electrode rods or outlet bushings in various electrical appliances, motors, electric furnaces and other equipment. The mica tube pipe is a rigid tubular insulating material made of stripped mica or mica paper with a suitable adhesive and bonded to a single-sided reinforcing material. It is rolled and processed into a rigid tubular insulating material with high mechanical strength.
A good quality mica tube has a bright surface gloss, and can make a very brittle sound when thrown on the ground. It has high heat resistance and electrical strength. It is safe to try! Specifications: The length of the mica tube is 300~500mm, and the inner diameter is Φ6~ Φ300 mm.
Appearance: The surface is smooth, without delamination, bubbles and wrinkles, there are traces of processing and trimming but does not exceed the index of wall thickness tolerance, the inner wall has slight wrinkles and defects, and the two ends are cut neatly.
The mica tube manufacturing process is very particular, mainly divided into two types: muscovite tube and phlogopite tube.
Muscovite tube can be continuously tested at a temperature of about 600-800℃, and phlogopite tube can be continuously tested at a temperature of about 800-1000℃.
Phlogopite tube is a kind of mica minerals, which is an aluminosilicate containing iron, magnesium and potassium. If the iron in the phlogopite composition is not too much, it can be used as an electrical insulating material, so it has an important role.
Phlogopite tube has dark phlogopite (various shades of brown or green, etc.) and light-colored phlogopite (various shades of light yellow). Light-colored phlogopite is transparent and glassy; dark-colored phlogopite is translucent. Glass luster to semi-metal luster, and the cleavage surface shows pearl luster.
The phlogopite tube sheet is flexible and non-conductive. Colorless or brownish-yellow under microscope transmitted light. The pure phlogopite is an excellent insulating material in the electrical industry, and it is also widely used in real stone paint.
The general characteristics are the same as the muscovite tube, and it is mainly distinguished from other mica based on its brown color. The method for biotite, which is similar in color, is to tear the two into thin flakes and place them on white paper for comparison. The phlogopite tube is pale yellowish brown, while the biotite is grayish green or smoky. The exact identification of colorless or other colored phlogopite requires the help of a microscope.
