Camshaft induction heating and hardening equipment

Camshaft induction heating and hardening equipment

There are two process methods for induction heating and surface hardening of gasoline engine camshafts, one is heating and cooling one by one cam, and the other is heating and cooling all cams at the same time. At present, manufacturers all adopt the former. On the one hand, due to the limitation of equipment conditions, on the other hand, this process method is more suitable for multi-variety and small-batch production. Our factory uses the horizontal quenching machine tool with the newly developed high-power thyristor intermediate frequency power supply in China to inductively heat and quench the 8 cams of the EQ491 engine’s cast iron camshaft at one time, which meets the technical quality requirements of the product drawings.
