How to maintain the muffle furnace?

Muffle furnace is commonly called the following types: electric furnace, resistance furnace, Maofu furnace, and muffle furnace. The muffle furnace is a general heating equipment, which can be divided into box furnace, tube furnace and crucible furnace according to the appearance and shape. The following describes the maintenance method of the muffle furnace:

1. When the muffle furnace is used once or used again after a long period of inactivity, it must be baked. The oven time should be 200°C to 600°C for four hours. When in use, the furnace temperature should not exceed the rated temperature, so as not to burn the heating element. It is forbidden to pour various liquids and easily soluble metals into the furnace. The muffle furnace works at a temperature below 50 ℃ below the high temperature, and the furnace wire has a longer life.

2. The muffle furnace and controller must work in a place where the relative humidity does not exceed 85%, and there is no conductive dust, explosive gas or corrosive gas. When the metal material with grease or the like needs to be heated, a large amount of volatile gas will affect and corrode the surface of the electric heating element, causing it to be destroyed and shorten the lifespan. Therefore, the heating should be prevented in time and the container should be sealed or properly opened to remove it.

3, the muffle furnace controller should be limited to use in the ambient temperature range of 0-40 ℃.

4. According to technical requirements, regularly check whether the wiring of the electric furnace and the controller is in good condition. The temperature-measuring thermocouples connected to the controller may interfere with the controller, causing the controller display value to skip characters, and the measurement error increases. The higher the furnace temperature, the more obvious this phenomenon. Therefore, the metal protection tube (shell) of the thermocouple must be well grounded, and if necessary, use a thermocouple with a three-wire output. In short, *** measures should be taken to reduce interference.

5. Do not pull out the thermocouple suddenly at high temperature to prevent the jacket from bursting.

6. Keep the furnace chamber clean and remove oxides in the furnace in time.

7. During use, when using alkaline substances to fuse samples or burn deposits in the furnace, the operating conditions should be strictly controlled, and a refractory plate should be laid on the bottom of the furnace to prevent corrosion of the furnace.
