How to select refractory materials for waste incinerators?

Common incinerators include batch incinerators, grate incinerators, CAO incineration systems, fluidized bed incinerators, and rotary furnace incinerators. Refractory materials for waste incinerators have the following characteristics:

①Good volume stability;

②Good high temperature strength and wear resistance;

③Good acid resistance;

④Good seismic stability;

⑤Good corrosion resistance (CO, Cl2, SO2, HCl, alkali metal vapor, etc.);

⑥Good constructability (unshaped);

⑦Good heat and heat insulation.

Different incinerators, different parts of use, and different operating temperatures, the following selection suggestions are for reference only:

The operating temperature of the roof, side walls and burner of the combustion chamber is 1000-1400℃, high alumina bricks and clay bricks with a refractoriness of 1750-1790℃ can be used, and plastics with a refractoriness of 1750-1790℃ can also be used. ;

The upper, middle, and lower parts of the grate side are used at a temperature of 1000-1200°C, silicon carbide bricks or clay bricks with a refractoriness of 1710-1750°C can be used, and wear-resistant castables can also be used;

The service temperature of the roof and side walls of the secondary combustion chamber is 800-1000℃, and clay bricks or clay castables with a refractoriness lower than 1750℃ can be used;

The top and side walls of the heat exchange chamber, and the top, side walls, and bottom of the spray chamber are used at a temperature lower than 600°C. Clay bricks or clay castables with a refractoriness lower than 1710°C can be used;

Adjust the use temperature of the flue and flue to 600°C, and choose clay bricks or clay castables with a refractoriness lower than 1670°C.

The selection of refractory materials for the above incinerators should be based on specific conditions. Different types of incinerators should be determined by the most demanding conditions during the operation of the equipment in combination with various factors.
