How to buy mica board?

1. Look for obvious defects on the surface of the mica board

The surface of the mica board for decoration should be flat and clean, free of burrs, cutting knife marks, glue penetration and board surface pollution (such as partial blackening, yellowing). Try to choose a mica board with no cracks, cracks, nodules, skin, resin bags and glue channels on the surface. The natural warpage of the whole board should be as small as possible to avoid improper operation of the mica roll sanding process and the phenomenon of bottom leakage.

2. Know the difference between veneer and natural veneer mica board

The mica board of the former has a straight and regular pattern; the mica board of the latter is a natural wood grain, and the natural variability of the pattern picture is relatively large and irregular.

3. Visual inspection of mica board

The appearance of the decorative mica board should have a good sense of beauty, the raw materials should be fine and uniform, the color should be clear, and the wood grain should be beautiful. The matching board of the mica board and the mosaic pattern should be placed according to certain rules, close to the wood color, and the seam should be almost parallel to the board edge.

4. The structure of the glue layer of the mica board is stable and does not open the glue

It should be noted that there should be no bulging or delamination between the outer veneer and the substrate, and between the inner layer of the substrate.

5. Mica board with low formaldehyde emission should be selected

Do not choose to decorate the mica board with a pungent smell. Because the smell of mica board is greater, the amount of formaldehyde emission is higher, the pollution is more severe, and the harm is greater.
