What is the difference between corundum mullite brick and high alumina brick?

The main difference between corundum mullite bricks and high alumina bricks is the crystal phase, and the appearance and color are somewhat different. The main reason is the ratio of raw materials. Please see the detailed introduction below.

Corundum mullite brick

It has good high temperature strength, high temperature creep resistance, thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance. The physical and chemical properties of typical corundum mullite bricks are Al2O3>85%, Fe2O30.45%, apparent porosity 19%, normal temperature compressive strength 55MPa, load softening temperature above 1700℃, heating line change (1600℃, 3h) -0.1%.

High alumina brick

The content of aluminum oxide is 48% to 85%, which can be divided into special, primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. Fe2O30.45%, apparent porosity is 19%, compressive strength at room temperature exceeds 55MPa, load softening temperature exceeds 1700 ℃, heating wire change (1600℃, 3h) -0.1%, thermal shock resistance (1100℃ water cooling) more than 30 times. The product uses high-aluminum alum clinker as the main raw material, soft clay and waste pulp and paper liquid as the binding agent, and the mud with multi-stage particles is formed by high-pressure molding, drying and high-temperature firing.
