Method for measuring and rechecking the coaxiality of compressor coupling in industrial chiller system

The coaxiality of the coupling should be measured at four evenly distributed positions on the end face and circumference of the coupling. That is, O, 90, 180, 270 degrees are measured. The method is as follows:

①Temporarily connect the half couplings A and B to each other, and install special measuring tools. And draw alignment lines on the circumference.

②Rotate the coupling halves A and B together to turn the dedicated measuring tool to the four determined positions in turn, and measure the radial clearance a and the axial clearance b of the coupling halves at each position. Record it in the form of 3-8(b).

Review the measured data as follows:

① Rotate the coupling forward again, and check whether the corresponding position values have changed.

②a1+a3 should be equal to a2+a4, and b1+b3 should be equal to b2+b4.

③If the above-listed values are not equal, check the cause, and re-measure after eliminating it.
