Refractory brick manufacturers teach you how to understand refractory bricks

Refractory brick is a kind of brick made of refractory aggregate bauxite clinker as the main raw material. There are other types of refractory bricks made of different refractory aggregates. Clay bricks use clay as aggregate, mullite bricks use mullite as aggregate, corundum bricks are made of corundum as aggregate and other refractory aggregates.

Refractory bricks are mainly used for the lining of various industrial furnaces such as ironmaking furnaces, steel furnaces, coke ovens, glass furnaces, cement kilns, steam boilers, various heat treatment furnaces, heating furnaces, and other high-temperature furnaces. Different types of refractory bricks cannot be mixed. When building refractory bricks, the same type of refractory mortar as the refractory brick should be used as a binder.

There are various shapes of refractory bricks, but the common shapes of refractory bricks include standard bricks, special-shaped bricks and special bricks. Standard bricks are produced according to industry standards or national standards and other relevant standards. Special-shaped bricks and special-shaped bricks are drawn first in the production, and then the molds are developed according to the drawings for processing and customization. There are many standard brick specifications, which should be customized according to the needs of the kiln.

According to national standards, the general specifications of refractory bricks are divided into five types: straight bricks, side thick wedge bricks, vertical wedge bricks, vertical wedge bricks and arch-foot bricks. According to the general shape and size standards of refractory bricks, the size of straight standard refractory bricks is 230mm×114mm×65mm. This specification is only a specification of straight bricks.
