There are usually four production methods for lightweight refractories

1. Burnup method. Also known as fuel addition method. Adding a certain amount of charcoal powder, wood chips, etc. to the fired brick products will make the products flammable.

2, the law of foam. Add foaming agents such as soap and soap to the brick slurry, foam it mechanically, and obtain porous products after firing.

3. Chemical methods. In the process of making bricks, a porous product with normal gas production is obtained through chemical reaction. Dolomite or periclase is usually combined with gypsum and sulfuric acid as blowing agents.

4. Porous material method. Lightweight refractory bricks are made of porous materials, such as natural diatomaceous earth or artificial clay foamed clinker, alumina or zirconia hollow spheres.

At present, common lightweight refractory products mainly include lightweight clay bricks, lightweight high-alumina bricks and lightweight silica bricks.
