How to replace the thermocouple in a high-temperature furnace?

1. Disconnect the power supply of the electric furnace, and remove the rear panel (model 1700) or the top cover (model 1800) of the electric furnace.

2. Write down the connection method of the thermocouple. The negative mark of the thermocouple is blue. 1700°C and 1800°C thermocouple “compensation” cables are made of pure copper.

3. Disconnect the thermocouple from its sub-block.

4. Loosen the screw to loosen the thermocouple sheath, take off the sheath, and shake off any fragments of the thermocouple.

5. Use a new thermocouple to re-install according to the color code, make sure that the thermocouple is not twisted when inserting the thermocouple, and the metal piece springs back or screws to clamp the sheath.
