1. Classified by heat transfer method: radiant electric furnace, and salt bath furnace. The salt bath furnace is divided into electrode salt bath furnace and nitrate furnace, but the nitrate furnace belongs to the category of low temperature furnace.

2. According to the structure of electric furnace: it can be divided into chamber furnace, trolley furnace, pit furnace, box furnace and so on.

3. According to the furnace atmosphere classification: divided into oxidizing atmosphere furnace, controllable atmosphere furnace and vacuum atmosphere furnace.
