Calculation Method of Heating Power of Experimental Electric Furnace

Calculation Method of Heating Power of Experimental Electric Furnace

1. Area load method

The basis of the area compound method is that the greater the power arranged per square meter on the inner surface of the furnace, the higher the furnace temperature, and the smaller the layout power, the lower the furnace temperature. Then it can be calculated according to the formula P=K1×F, where P is the actual power of the experimental electric furnace (kw), K1 is the electric heating power per unit area of the furnace (kw/㎡), and F is the inner surface area of the furnace (㎡).

2. Volume load method

The basis of the volumetric load method is based on the relationship between the total power and the furnace volume summarized from the long-term experience of the electric furnace. The relationship can be calculated by the formula P=K2×V, where P is the actual power of the experimental electric furnace (kw), and K2 is A coefficient that varies according to the furnace temperature (kw/㎡), V is the effective volume of the furnace (㎡).
