What is high manganese steel?

High-manganese steel is melted by an induction melting furnace, and the melting temperature is as high as 1800 ° C. After casting, it is cast into wear-resistant parts of different shapes. It contains about 1.2% carbon and 13% manganese. After quenching in water at 1000-1050 °C, all austenite structures can be obtained, so it is also called austenitic high manganese steel.

High manganese steel has good toughness and a strong tendency to work hardening, and shows superior wear resistance under impact conditions. High manganese steel is mainly used to make jaw crusher tooth plate, excavator bucket tooth and railway turnout.
