Repair of cement kiln castables

Repair of cement kiln castables

Refractory materials should be inspected after kiln drying and secondary shutdown. This inspection can be considered as a secondary inspection of the lining after high-temperature burning. It should be comprehensive and meticulous, and repaired parts should be carried out in strict accordance with the quality requirements. In addition, the lining material should be inspected regularly, and the inspection cycle should be shortened for some key parts. When it is confirmed that the lining material has fallen off, it should be repaired and replaced immediately to prevent the insulation layer and the carcass from being exposed to high temperatures. If it is found that the steel nails have leaked out or the lining material has been worn to 65% of the original length, the lining material should be repaired immediately. When repairing the lining, it is usually necessary to insert new nails, and appropriately increase the density of the nails (10%), while leaving expansion joints between the new and old linings.
