Several basis for selection of high frequency quenching equipment

Several basis for selection of high frequency quenching equipment

1. Selection of power: Usually, the greater the power of our induction heating equipment, the greater the size and weight of the workpiece that can be heated or processed.

2. The frequency of the equipment: the higher the frequency, the stronger the skin effect of the position close to the induction coil (equivalent to the denser the distribution of magnetic lines of force at this position), the faster the surface of the workpiece is heated, and the smaller the workpiece can be heated. , High-frequency induction heating equipment is usually used in welding or surface quenching and other aspects of work. Conversely, the lower the frequency, the weaker the skin effect near the induction coil, but this is equivalent to the closer the distribution of magnetic force lines far away from the induction coil and the distribution of magnetic force lines near the coil, which will lead to better diathermy effect. It is also possible to make the workpiece more uniformly heated at the same time when heating a relatively thick workpiece. Medium frequency induction heating equipment is commonly used in hot forging or melting or deep quenching applications.

3. Induction coil: Sometimes, the power and frequency of induction heating equipment can meet the needs of workpiece heating, but if the shape of the workpiece is very special, it may cause the calculated power and frequency to be unsuitable for the workpiece or work. At this time, it is necessary to customize a special coil and obtain the optimal power and frequency required by the workpiece through experiments.
