Intermediate frequency furnace

Intermediate frequency furnace

A. Overview: Intermediate frequency furnace is a power supply device that converts 50HZ AC power into an intermediate frequency (above 300HZ to 1000HZ). It converts three-phase AC power into DC after rectification, and then converts the DC power into an adjustable intermediate frequency. The electric current supplies the intermediate frequency alternating current flowing through the capacitor and the induction coil, generates high-density magnetic lines of force in the induction coil, and cuts the metal material contained in the induction coil, which generates a large eddy current in the metal material. It is widely used in the melting of non-ferrous and ferrous metals. Compared with other casting equipment, the intermediate frequency furnace has the advantages of high thermal efficiency, short melting time, less alloy element burning loss, wide melting material, low environmental pollution, and accurate control of the temperature and composition of the molten metal.

B. A good way to quickly select “intermediate frequency furnace”

1. Selection of transformer capacity for intermediate frequency furnace

The value of the transformer capacity = the value of the power supply of the intermediate frequency furnace x 1.2

The transformer is a rectifier transformer. In order to reduce the interference of harmonics, as far as possible the special machine is dedicated, that is, an intermediate frequency furnace is equipped with a rectifier transformer.

2. Selection of the incoming line voltage of the intermediate frequency furnace

For intermediate frequency furnaces below 1000KW, the intermediate frequency power supply generally uses three-phase five-wire 380V, 50HZ industrial electricity, and for intermediate frequency furnaces above 1000KW, it focuses on the use of 660V incoming line voltage.

3. Determine the tonnage of the intermediate frequency furnace according to the capacity requirements.

According to the weight of a single piece and the weight of molten iron required for each working day, the capacity of the intermediate frequency furnace can be determined.

4. Selection of furnace structure

The aluminum alloy structure supply melting furnace with the reducer as the tilting furnace is commonly known as the aluminum shell furnace. A steel structure induction melting furnace with a hydraulic cylinder as a tilting furnace is commonly known as a steel shell furnace. The steel shell furnace is a steel structure, and the aluminum shell furnace shell is made of aluminum alloy.

5. Method of temperature control of intermediate frequency furnace

Generally use red ultraviolet thermometer + closed-loop PID control to automatically adjust power and control temperature
