Induction furnace water cooling cable
Induction furnace water cooling cable
The water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace is a special cable connecting the intermediate frequency power supply and the induction coil. Because of its internal water cooling, it is called a water-cooled cable. Although the water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace also carries current, its internal structure is different from that of ordinary cables.
1. Structure of water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace:
The water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace is composed of electrodes, copper stranded wires, insulating hoses, water nozzles, stainless steel hose clamps, etc. The electrode is machined from red copper rods and connected to the copper stranded wire for cooling. The insulating rubber tube is sleeved outside the copper stranded wire and fastened to the electrode with a throat hoop. A water nozzle is installed on the electrode, and the cooling water passes through the water on the electrode. The nozzle enters the inside of the insulating rubber tube to cool the copper stranded wire to achieve the purpose of overcurrent.
2. Water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace Standard:
The water-cooled cable for induction heating furnace shall comply with the standard of JB/T10358-2002 “Water-cooled Cable for Industrial Electric Heating Equipment”.
3. Specifications of water-cooled cables for induction heating furnaces:
3.1. The cross-section of the water-cooled cable for the induction heating furnace is in the range of 25 to 500 square millimeters, and the length is in the range of 0.3 to 20 meters. When the cross section is not enough, multiple parallel connections are often used. When the water-cooled cable is too long, it also meets the standard, but the loss when energized will be very large, which does not meet the energy-saving requirements.
3.2. The insulating jacket rubber tube of the water-cooled cable for the induction heating furnace is made of carbon-free high-quality rubber tube, with a water pressure resistance of 0.8MPa and a breakdown voltage of not less than 3000V. Special requirements must use flame retardant hose sleeves.
3.3. The electrodes of the water-cooled cables for induction heating furnaces are made of T2 copper, and the selection standard refers to JB/T10358-2002 “Water-cooled Cables for Industrial Electric Heating Equipment”
3.4. Water-cooled cables for induction heating furnaces have strict requirements on the cooling water quality to ensure the cooling effect and the life of the water-cooled cables.
3. 5. The copper stranded wire of the water-cooled cable for the induction heating furnace is cut from multiple strands of copper stranded wire. The more strands of copper stranded wire, the softer the water-cooled cable, and of course the higher the price.
3.6. For the fastening of the electrode outer casing of the water-cooled cable of the induction heating furnace, the hoop made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti (non-magnetic stainless steel) is mostly used.
