Uniqueness of high alumina refractory bricks

Uniqueness of high alumina matofali ya kukataa

Among aluminosilicate refractory materials, high alumina refractory bricks have higher refractoriness. As the content of Al2O3 in the product increases, the refractoriness increases, generally not lower than 1750℃~1790℃. When the alumina content is greater than 95%, the refractoriness can be as high as 1900℃~2000℃.

With the addition of SiO2 and metal oxides, the load softening temperature of high alumina refractory bricks decreases. The load softening temperature of ordinary high alumina bricks is 1420℃~1530℃. The softening temperature of corundum products with Al2O3 content greater than 95% is above 1600℃.

High alumina refractory bricks have the function of resisting various slags. Due to the high content of Al2O3 in the product and its neutrality, it has strong corrosion resistance to acid and alkali slag.

High alumina refractory bricks have thermal shock resistance. Corundum and mullite crystals coexist, and the linear expansion coefficient of corundum is greater than that of mullite. Therefore, when the temperature rises, the product’s expansion difference will cause stress concentration. Therefore, the thermal shock resistance of high alumina bricks is poor, and the number of water cooling is only 3 to 5 times.
