Comparison of ordinary KGPS intermediate frequency power supply, IGBT intermediate frequency power supply and new energy-saving KGPSSD intermediate frequency power supply

1. Ordinary KGPS SCR parallel IF power supply

The advantages are: it has been the most widely used in the past few decades, low price, easy maintenance, and cheap accessories.

The disadvantage is: high energy consumption, electricity consumption per ton of molten steel is more than 700 degrees. The power is adjusted by adjusting the DC voltage, the power factor is low (≤0.85), and there is harmonic interference, which has varying degrees of impact on the operation of the reactive power compensation capacitor in the substation.

2. IGBT intermediate frequency power supply

The advantages are: the rectification adopts full-wave rectification, and the LC filter method composed of capacitors and inductors makes the power factor reach above 0.96, basically without harmonic interference. The inverter part adopts the series inverter working mode, and the load works under the condition of high voltage and low current, and the copper loss is small, which greatly improves the efficiency. Electricity consumption per ton of molten steel is less than 600 degrees.

The disadvantage is: IGBT intermediate frequency power supply requires high working environment.

3. New energy-saving KGPSSD thyristor series intermediate frequency power supply

KGPSSD thyristor intermediate frequency power supply inherits the advantages of the above two products, adopts full-wave rectification power supply, and the rectifier is always in the fully-on state (equivalent to diode rectification) during the entire working process; the power factor of the equipment is always at the highest state (≧0.96) . It does not produce high-order harmonics, has no pollution to the power grid, and does not affect the operation of substation reactive power compensation capacitors. Compared with ordinary thyristor parallel intermediate frequency power supplies, it saves about 15%. Moreover, the parts are cheap, easy to purchase and easy to repair.
