Brief introduction of gear laser quenching process

Brief introduction of gear laser quenching process

1. Surface pretreatment coating: In order to improve the absorption rate of the metal surface to the laser, it is necessary to carry out surface treatment (blackening treatment) on the surface of the material before laser heat treatment, that is, to coat the metal surface requiring laser treatment Coatings with higher absorption capacity. Surface pretreatment methods include phosphating method, surface roughness improvement method, oxidation method, spraying (brushing) coating method, coating method and other methods, among which spraying (brushing) coating method is more commonly used.

2. Axial tooth scanning: gear laser quenching Axial tooth scanning is a scanning method that uses a broadband laser beam to laser quench gears. Broadband laser beam scanning often uses multiple beams to form a broadband, and the laser beam moves and scans along the gear axis, and one tooth surface can be scanned at a time. After rotating by one tooth pitch, the laser beam scans another tooth surface, and thus scans one by one until all the tooth surfaces of the entire gear are scanned. Most domestically, a single-beam broadband laser is used to scan the tooth surface, and one tooth surface is scanned once or twice, and the teeth are divided one by one. Then move the position of the laser beam (or gear), and use the same method to complete the quenching process of the tooth surface on the other side of the gear.
