1. 2. Purpose: to increase the carbon content of the surface layer of low carbon steel to 0.85-1.10%, and then quench and temper at low temperature to eliminate stress and stabilize the structure, so that the surface layer of the steel has high hardness (HRc56-62) , increase wear resistance and fatigue strength. The heart still maintains its original plasticity and toughness.
3. Application: Carburizing is generally used for steels with low carbon content such as 15Cr and 20Cr. The depth of the carburizing layer is different according to the requirements of the parts, generally 0.2 to 2 mm.
