What are the maintenance methods for refrigerant leakage during the operation of the chiller

1. Chiller test paper detection method

Note that this method is only suitable for leak detection in ammonia refrigeration systems. When the ammonia value in the chiller reaches 0.3 Pa, use phenolphthalein test paper to check the threaded ports, welding and flange connections one by one. If the phenolphthalein test paper is found to be red, the unit is leaking.

2. The cold water machine soap liquid detection method

When the chiller is under working pressure, apply soapy water to the welding, flange and other joints of the pipe of the unit. If bubbles are found, the unit is leaking and should be repaired. This is the easiest way.

3. Halogen leak detector for chillers

When using, connect the power first, and move the tip of the probe slowly to the place to be tested. If there is a Freon leak, the honey sound will be aggravated. The pointer swings greatly; the halogen detector has high sensitivity and is mainly used for accurate detection after the system is charged with refrigerant.

4. Visual inspection of chiller

If oil leaks or oil stains are found in a certain part of the Freon system, it can be concluded that the Freon leaks in that part.

5. Halogen lamp detection of chiller

When using the halogen lamp, the flame is red. Place the inspection tube on the place to be inspected and move slowly. If there is a Freon leak, the flame will turn green. The darker the color, the more serious the Freon leak from the surface chiller.
