The meaning of FR4 in FR4 epoxy glass fiber board

FR4 is a code for the grade of flame-retardant materials. It represents a material specification that the resin material must be able to extinguish by itself after burning. It is not a material name, but a material grade. Therefore, it is currently used in general circuit boards. There are many types of FR-4 grade materials, but most of them are composite materials made of so-called Tera-Function epoxy resin, Filler and glass fiber.

1. 다양한 형태. 다양한 수지, 경화제 및 개질제 시스템은 다양한 응용 분야의 요구 사항에 거의 적응할 수 있으며 범위는 매우 낮은 점도에서 높은 융점 고체까지 가능합니다.

2. 편리한 경화. 다양한 경화제를 선택하면 에폭시 수지 시스템은 0 ~ 180 ℃의 온도 범위에서 거의 경화 될 수 있습니다.

3. 강한 접착력. 에폭시 수지의 분자 사슬에 내재된 극성 수산기와 에테르 결합은 다양한 물질에 대한 접착력을 높입니다. 에폭시수지는 경화시 수축이 적고 내부응력이 적어 접착강도 향상에도 도움이 됩니다.

4. 낮은 수축. 에폭시 수지와 사용된 경화제의 반응은 수지 분자 내 에폭시기의 직접 부가 반응 또는 개환 중합 반응에 의해 수행되며 물 또는 기타 휘발성 부산물이 방출되지 않습니다. 불포화 폴리에스터 수지 및 페놀 수지에 비해 경화 시 수축률이 매우 낮습니다(2% 미만).
