Treatment method of molten iron leakage accident in metal smelting furnace
Treatment method of molten iron leakage accident in metal smelting furnace
1. Liquid iron leakage accidents are likely to cause damage to the metal smelting furnace and even endanger the human body. Therefore, it is necessary to do the maintenance and maintenance of the metal smelting furnace as much as possible to avoid liquid iron leakage accidents.
2. When the alarm bell of the alarm device rings, immediately cut off the power supply and inspect the furnace body to check whether the molten iron leaks out. If there is any leakage, dump the furnace immediately and finish pouring the molten iron. (*Note: Usually, there must be an emergency spare molten iron ladle whose capacity should be greater than the maximum molten iron capacity of the metal smelting furnace or keep the molten iron emergency pit in front of the furnace dry and free of other flammable and explosive materials.) If there is no leakage, follow the leaking furnace alarm inspection procedure Carry out inspection and processing. If it is confirmed that the molten iron leaks from the furnace lining and touches the electrode to cause an alarm, the molten iron must be poured out, the furnace lining should be repaired, or the furnace should be rebuilt. If a large amount of molten iron flows out and damages the induction coil to cause running water, the molten iron should be poured out in time, the water should be stopped, and the water should not be in contact with the molten iron to prevent explosion.
3. The molten iron is caused by the damage of the furnace lining. The thinner the thickness of the furnace lining, the higher the electrical efficiency and the faster the melting rate. However, when the thickness of the lining is worn less than 65mm, the entire thickness of the lining is almost always a hard sintered layer and a very thin transition layer. There is no loose layer, and small cracks will occur when the lining is slightly subjected to rapid cooling and heating. This crack can rupture the entire interior of the furnace lining and easily cause the molten iron to leak out.
4. Unreasonable furnace building, baking, sintering methods, or improper selection of furnace lining materials will cause furnace leakage in the first few furnaces of melting. At this time, the leaking furnace alarm device cannot alarm. Pay special attention to the fact that if the leaking furnace alarm device does not alarm, check the use of the furnace frequently according to the use experience, because the leaking furnace electrode is not installed properly or the contact is not good. The metal smelting furnace cannot accurately alarm, which affects the inspection of the metal smelting furnace to troubleshoot in time to ensure safety.
