How to replace refractory bricks in copper smelting equipment maintenance

Qanday o’zgartirishlar kerak o’tga chidamli g’isht in copper smelting equipment maintenance

Rotary refining furnace is mainly suitable for refining molten blister copper, and the waste refractory bricks for maintenance and replacement are mainly waste magnesia chrome bricks and waste clay bricks. When melting blister copper, only 20% to 25% solid material is allowed to be added. Its advantages are low heat dissipation loss, good sealing, and improved operating environment; reduced maintenance times, greatly reducing the disassembly and replacement of waste refractory bricks; flexible operation, saving personnel, and low labor intensity. The disadvantage is that the equipment investment is high. The following introduces the reasons why the rotary refining furnace needs to be overhauled frequently and the waste refractory bricks are replaced.

1. The furnace temperature of the rotary refining furnace is higher than 1350℃ (casting period), and the high temperature can reach 1450℃ (oxidation period). Because the furnace body is rotating, there is no fixed molten pool slag line in the furnace, and the slag will be corroded and melted. The erosion of metal almost involves more than 2/3 of the inner surface of the furnace, and the loss of refractory bricks in this working section is large, which requires a period of time to check and repair, and the more damaged waste refractory bricks should be removed and replaced.

2. Due to the frequent rotation of the furnace body, timely inspection and maintenance are required. The damaged waste refractory bricks should be removed and replaced, so that the masonry and the steel furnace shell are closely attached to increase the static friction between the masonry and the steel furnace shell. The furnace shell rotates synchronously to maintain the stability of the masonry.
