Measures to Reduce Gear High Frequency Quenching Deformation
Measures to Reduce Gear UkuCima rhoqo Utshintsho
1. Some machine tool factories require that the inner hole shrinks <0.005mm, or <0.01mm after gear quenching. Generally, after high-frequency quenching, the inner hole shrinks up to 0.01-0.05mm; some factories preheat the inner hole of the spline first. Then quench the outer teeth; some factories add a high-temperature tempering process after rough turning of the thick-walled gear, and then add high-frequency normalizing to generate stress, and then finish turning, drawing splines, cutting teeth, shaving teeth, high frequency Quenching and low temperature tempering can control the shrinkage of the inner hole within 0.005mm.
2. For gears quenched by tooth, the final quenched gear teeth are deformed greatly. Therefore, the method of tooth-by-tooth quenching to reduce deformation is to perform quenching alternately, that is, to separate one or two teeth for quenching, and tooth-by-tooth quenching reduces the deformation of the quenched gear.
