Steel spring chuck adopts high-frequency quenching equipment for heat treatment process analysis

Steel spring chuck adopts vysokofrekvenční kalící zařízení for heat treatment process analysis

The spring chuck is widely used in the machining and production of bearing rings. It is required to have good plastic toughness to locate the ring through its expansion and tightening effect. In order to facilitate production and management, bearing companies generally do not choose spring steel manufacturing, and often use GCr15 steel instead. Because GCr15 steel does not have good plastic toughness, it often causes a large number of spring chucks to break during production, which affects the normal production. The failure mode of GCr15 steel spring chucks is mainly early fracture, and the fracture part is mainly the neck Therefore, it is required to have high hardness and wear resistance, and high plasticity. Induction heat treatment using high-frequency hardening equipment can completely meet the requirements of the spring chuck.

1) Induction heat treatment process GCr15 steel spring chuck outline dimensions: head diameter 60mm, tail diameter 52mm, total length 60mm. Use high-frequency quenching furnace to perform preheating heat treatment at 500-550℃, and then heat treatment at 845℃. During operation, first heat the head for 5min, then heat the whole for 10min, and then transfer to 280- after the whole is oil-cooled. Keep the temperature in nitrate at 300℃ for 90min, then temper with nitrate at 160℃x2h. To

  1. Test results and analysis. The following table shows the comparison of the results of GCr15 steel collet chucks after two different heat treatment processes. The test results show that the hardness of the GCr15 steel spring chuck after quenching in the high-frequency quenching furnace is about 10HRC lower than that of the conventional quenching, but its service life is increased by 1-1.67 times.
